Master's in International Affairs

Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy

Hello there!

I am a Low Tuck Kwong Foundation Scholar in the Master in International Affairs at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP), National University of Singapore (NUS). I am also a Young Leader with the Pacific Forum Young Leaders Program.

I'm interested in evidence-based international affairs, political economy, and economic development. See my research, explore resources, or view my CV.

I am currently a guest student at the University of St. Gallen (Fall 2025). I earned a Bachelor's in International Relations (with honors) from Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (2022), where I also visited the University of Glasgow (Fall 2021) and Asia University (Fall 2020).

Having educated across Singapore, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Taiwan, and Indonesia, my academic training spans research methods, political economy, development, behavioral economics, comparative politics, impact investment, and business–government relations.

Outside of work, I enjoy the outdoors (though I’m most often in the gym), and in my free time I play FPS and strategy games.

Latest Publication

I’m proud to co-author the AidData policy report “Balancing Risk and Reward: Who benefits from China’s investments in Indonesia?” (June 12, 2025).

The report decodes over two decades of Beijing’s state-backed development finance (nearly $70 billion from 2000–2023) and private FDI (over $94 billion from 2010–2024), revealing which actors truly benefit.

Coverage: South China Morning Post — “Should Indonesia scrutinise China-funded projects?” (July 16, 2025).

I am actively seeking research assistantship in policy research, economic development, or international affairs.
